Mike Phillips to feature on This American Life

A red jellybean switchMike Phillips - a Mac journalist, artist, and SwitchXS user - will be featured in the first episode of the new season of This American Life on Showtime in the USA. The episode will air on Sunday May 4th at 10:00pm ET/PT.

Soon after it airs, this episode should be available for download from iTunes USA in the Showtime Network section.

Here’s US Magazine’s short description of the episode:

Johnny Depp lends heart to the season two premiere of this classy documentary series that focuses on interesting folks across the country. (It’s based on host Ira Glass’ radio show.) First up: Glass meets Mike, a bright, disabled young man who can barely move or speak yet communicates via computer. Depp narrates his love notes and other missives. It’s deeply affecting and brilliantly observed.

The AssistiveWare website has a profile of Mike Phillips available for those who are interested.

I hope this is somehow available to us non-USA people after it airs - I’d love to see it.
