@Terry: Unfortunately it won’t work with Microsoft Word because the Microsoft people don’t follow the regular Apple standards when writing their Mac versions. If you need to use it with a word processor, it works in iWork’s “Pages” word processor, and in TextEdit - perhaps they can do the job?

@chairs: We have other articles which cover the SmartNav for Mac OS X, it’s certainly another wrist saving option although it’s significantly more expensive.

I hadn’t even thought of InkWell potentially being used to “write” with a fingertip on the glass trackpads - I hope that it becomes available, you’re certainly right about it potentially being very useful. Theoretically, I’d think that if it were available on the iPhone then making it work with the “iPhone-eque” technology on the new trackpads wouldn’t be a big issue, so that’s a point that might help!

I also wish to hear soon from InkWell working with the iPhone and the New MacBook Pro “glass trackpad”.
I would love to explore all the potential of this tools in handwriting and drawing capabilities.

Hello there! Thank you for the tip on this program, I will try it out on my sons MacBook. The geometry program also looks very cool because you can measure distances on scanned documents that have no legend! Thanks again

I’m at Accessing Higher Ground and heard of a nice device called the Ubi Duo (demo at Grant Laird, Jr’s Blog).
It looks pretty cool!
