Leopard Dock Color Changer

DockColor provides a simple interface to changing the color of the Mac OS X Leopard “shelf” Dock. With a simple color-picker interface, you can change the color of your Dock quickly and easily. DockColor automatically backs up the original files, and you can easily revert back to the original Dock from within DockColor as well.

I find the new lightbulb style indicators showing which programs are active are difficult to see on the new Leopard dock, but when I used this program to darken the colour of the dock helped me significantly. Here’s an image of part of the original dock:

If you are really interested in changing how your dock looks in a more substantial way - changing how the “program running” highlights look, or changing the shape more, I suggest you look at LeopardDocks.com. For most people who want to make simple changes, DockColor seems like a good idea.
