A really simple daemon program that lets you use return and/or enter to open icons in the Finder.
The “usual” way to open a file or start a program in the Finder is to double-click with the mouse, or press ⌘o. Pressing “enter” will let you edit the name of the file, not open it. Many users find the ⌘o sequence is confusing, especially if they are used to Windows where pressing “enter” is the correct way to start a program. PresButan is a plug-in for the Finder that adds the “press enter to open a file” behaviour that people often expect.
PresButan is a PowerPC application but it works fine with Intel-based machines too, or at least it does on my Mac Pro.
