Acapela Group and AssistiveWare today announced the release of Infovox iVox 1.2 speech synthesiser with new voices and a pronunciation editor.

I have noticed in several places now that some people are confused about what’s “VoiceOver” and what’s “Text to Speech” in terms of Mac OS X. This post is to attempt to clarify what each one is and why it’s important to know which one you’re talking about if you’re asking for help.

AssistiveWare and Acapela Group today announced an update to the British Infovox iVox voices for Mac OS X. This update improves the pronunciation of a number of Mac related terms as well as several other words.
