Almost all of the newer Mac models come with the Apple Remote control, and they can be used for a surprising amount of your computing. So what’s available for those of us who have a Mac that didn’t come with a remote, or who need a different remote for accessibility? There’s a huge range that will have an option appropriate for almost any user, no matter your assistive technology needs.

The software which runs the Apple TV device has now been updated to version 2.3. This most recent upgrade includes several improvements and bug fixes including support for third party remote controls.

Remote control Macs

Most Macintoshes now come with a remote control for using with Front Row, but a remote can have many more uses than that and even Macs without a built in remote system can use a remote control. Did you know that you can even use the remote from your Nintendo Wii to control your Mac!
