Proloquo2Go is a Alternative & Augmentative Communication (AAC) program for Apple’s iPhone and iPod touch, soon to be available from AssistiveWare and Sennott Consulting.

Voice4Me Basic AAC Program

Voice4Me is one of the free programs available at the SchoolFreeware website. It’s a very basic AAC program for users who have trouble speaking – users can click on a picture to speak the associated text, or type text into a box and then click on the ‘speak’ button.

AssistiveWare and Sennott Consulting have announced that they are working on a groundbreaking Alternative & Augmentative Communication (AAC) program for Apple’s iPhone and iPod touch called Proloquo2Go. It’s expected to ship by the end of March, 2009.

Changing Narrators With Ghostreader or Infovox iVox Voices

Did you know that you can change narrators automatically when you’re using GhostReader? It’s an undocumented feature, and only works with the voices from Infovox iVox or ConvenienceWare, but I’ve confirmed that it does work.

Dejal Narrator – Text to speech with easy voice changes

Dejal Narrator is a text to speech toold which allows you to set with different voices for different sections of text. It allows for multiple chapters in each document to help organize the story, uses a word replacement dictionary to fine-tune the pronunciation, and can export the story to a sound file or direct to iTunes.
