I love this tip .. I have always been quite looking down at Stickies .. (I hate using sticky notes in real life because it creates a cluttered enviromnent and does not help to get focused ..) but using sktickies not as a note container but as a way to stay focused on one priority just a great idea … I will give it a try.. (my priority of the day : “don’t forget to breathe” .. :-) ..)

@Philippe: Thanks! I never used the program before this either, so I was very surprised when it turned out to be perfect for the purpose. I use them almost all the time now – the only thing that bugs me is that using the “Hide all other apps” command seems to override the stay-on-top setting and hides the note. But now I use Isolator to hide everything not in the foreground I don’t need the hide command so it works fine.

I love Stickies too… I like the ability to double-click on the top of the note, which collapses it down to one line. Then I can line up LOTS of the stickies on my desktop and it takes up very little room. For instance, I might have 3-4 in the upper right of my screen… for those more important reminders. Then I have another 6-8 or whatever in the bottom left; lists of books I want to read, places I want to visit soon, etc. Sometimes I have some in the other two corners, often categorized in similar groups. I see only the first line, so it’s a quick reminder in and of itself. If I want to see it fully, I double click on the line and it pops back up to a full-sized Sticky.
