Wacom Bamboo Tablets

wacom-tablet

Bamboo is a new category of pen tablets that help everyday people convey their ideas more clearly. With the natural feel of pen-on-paper, Bamboo and Bamboo Fun plug into your computer and make it quick and easy for you to get your point across.

Whether you’re preparing a slide presentation or making a unique collage of your favorite photos, Wacom’s newest line of pen tablets gives you more control with patented pen technology that puts the ability to personalize your work right in your hands.

These Bamboo tablets from Wacom could possibly be used as a mouse/keyboard alternative for some people, especially with OS X’s built in handwriting recognition system.

Has anybody tried this as an assistive technology device? I would love to trial a tablet for mousing instead of my trackpad, but the cost has been very high until now. These new Bamboo ones cost US$99 and up which I think is much lower in price than previously.

  1. Hello:

I have used the Wacom tablet and it works fine with the Macintosh. You can even use the Inkwell feature which is built into OS X for hand writing recognition. Pretty cool
