Colour contrast is important to many low vision readers and those with dyslexia, as well as for general usability. The Web Colour Contrast Analyser can be used to check for conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 1 and 2 checkpoints relating to contrast issues using the colour brightness/colour difference formulas and the contrast ratio algorithm.
Until now, the CCA has only been available for Windows users but the Web Accessibility Tools Consortium have now released a version of the for OS X 10.4.6 and later.
