…And “white on black” display switch for iPhone (OS 3 to 4) is still, as on OS X, the most silly and useless accessibility “tool” ever released… Try it by yourseves !

I mean, I’m sight diseabled and I MUST read white text on black background, so “white on black” seems perfect… But it’s just a pure fail…

Imagine, the homescreen with a black background: everything fine in “normal mode”. Invert it with “White on black”: you’ll have a white background and black text… and, even worse, you’ll have contrast inverted pictures, logos, icons, ALL !

Have you ever watched a VIDEO or a PHOTO in contrast inverted mode ? Do you think the PHOTO or VIDEO needs to be inverted when all you want is the UI to be inverted, not the content ?

Try it for yourself, mr. Jobs and you’ll have a good time triple-clicking that button each time you switch from the home screen to an app… and back-triple-clicking it when you switch to a call or whatever screen with a dark background in “normal mode”.

Try it on the iPhone, try it on the iPad, try it on every Mac OSX device and get back to me about how great is that tool… and we’ll have a good laugh together !

Imagine, Microsoft does it well on its Windows computer since… guess what ? 1995… You’re fifteen years old… so don’t talk of accessibility to me, Apple.
